Description
Bradbourne Hall is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins, and features a slate roof with a stone ridge and various stone stacks. The building has a three-gabled front with stone copings and stands three storeys high with four bays, one of which is recessed to the east. The original two bays include a central chamfered doorcase with a hoodmould, flanked by 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows with dripmoulds. Above these, there are two similar windows and a 2-light window situated over the door. In the gables, there is a single light window to the west and a 2-light window to the east, both recessed and chamfered with dripmoulds. To the west of the central block, there is an early 20th-century addition featuring a two-storey canted bay window with mullions and transoms. The eastern recessed bay has a 4-light mullion window with a similar 3-light window above. Although the interior has been much altered, it retains a 17th-century turned baluster staircase with rounded finials and a moulded handrail. Additionally, there is an attached garden wall with large stone piers topped by banded ball finials.
