Description
Gardener's Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, likely with an earlier core, that was restored in the early 20th century and altered. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins, topped with a stone slate roof featuring stone gable end stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance features a chamfered flush doorcase with a studded wooden door. On either side of the door, there are tall 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows. Above the door, there is a single light chamfered window situated under the eaves. Flanking the building are single, full, coped gabled dormers with kneelers, likely from the early 20th century, each containing 2-light chamfered mullion windows set in flush surrounds with a slight chamfer to the edge.
