Description
The Old Parsonage is a house that was formerly a parsonage, built in the late 18th century with additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It features coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings, and there is a 19th-century brick addition on the east side. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there are brick stacks at the gable end and ridge. The building has two storeys and five bays.
The central section has a two-storey early 20th-century projecting bay with a five-light mullioned window. To the west, there is a door with a bracketed canopy and a glazed sash window above, flanked by two similar sash windows at the eaves. On the east side, there are single light windows. The 19th-century brick addition further east features a four-light chamfered mullion window, with a similar three-light window above it. There is also a large brick extension at the rear. This building is included for its group value only.
