Description
This is an outbuilding located to the east of Whitemeadow Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and features a red brick end gable wall. The building has a plain tile roof and is two stories tall, with a long rectangular shape.
On the west elevation, there are five stable doors set beneath large lintels, with windows to the north of each door that have three panes above and a ventilation grill below. Above these doors, there are two pairs of double doors leading to a storage loft, which are framed by large quoined surrounds. There is a brick addition to the south and a lower stone addition that connects the barn to the farmhouse on the west at the north end. This building is included in the listing for its group value with the farmhouse.
