Description
White House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with significant alterations made in the 18th century. The earlier sections are constructed from limestone rubble, while the second storey has been rebuilt using gritstone rubble with flush dressings. The roof is covered with plain tiles, featuring stone coped gables and kneelers. There are central and gable end brick stacks. The building has four bays and is two storeys high. On the ground floor, there are one 2-light and one 3-light 17th-century recessed, chamfered mullion windows with casements. The entrance door is obscured by an intrusive 20th-century glazed porch. Above, there are three 2-light and one 3-light flush mullioned windows with casements.
