Description

Shiningford Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from squared coursed gritstone with flush dressings. It features a plain tile roof with a stone ridge and has brick stacks at the gable ends and ridge. The building has a projecting eaves band and is three storeys high with four bays. On the ground floor, there are casement windows on either side of the doorway, which has a massive lintel and quoins. There is an additional window to the east, and above, there are four similar windows. The eaves have four smaller, similar windows. All the windows were replaced in the 20th century.
