Description
Lathkill House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone with gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof is covered with 20th-century concrete tiles and features stone coped gables and moulded kneelers on the south range. There are stone gable end stacks to the south and a central stone ridge stack on the rear section.
The building is two storeys high and has three bays, forming an L-plan with an early 19th-century, three-bay section at the rear. The main entrance features a flush quoined doorcase with a raised keystone and a 20th-century glazed panelled door. On either side of the door are two-light flush mullion windows with two-pane casements. Above, there are two similar windows and a central single-light window with a flush surround. The entire ground floor is below road level.
The east facade at the rear includes a central four-centred arched doorcase with an ovolo moulded edge and a 20th-century plank door. To the north, there is a two-light cavetto moulded mullion window with pointed lights, incised spandrels, and two-pane casements. South of the door, there is a similar three-light window. Above, there are three similar two-light mullion windows.
