Description
Riverside is a house built in the early 19th century, with a 20th-century addition. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone, featuring gritstone dressings and quoins on the west side. The roof is made of stone slate and has stone gable end stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays.
The central entrance has a semi-circular headed doorcase with a panelled door and a plain fanlight, which is covered by a 20th-century glazed lean-to that has a slate roof and a panelled door. To the east side, there is a glazing bar sash window set in a raised plain surround. On the west side, there is a lean-to with three full-height 20th-century glazing bar sliding doors. Above this, there are three glazing bar sash windows also in raised plain surrounds. This house was built as a pair with an attached house and is included in the listing for its group value only.
