Description
Turners Charity Farmhouse is a farmhouse from the early 19th century, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. It is built of coursed squared sandstone and rubble stone, featuring ashlar dressings and flush quoins. The roof is covered with plain tiles from the mid-19th century and has brick gable stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, arranged in an L-shape with a single-storey rear range.
The central entrance has a raised and fielded panelled door, with the top two panels glazed, set within a chamfered surround made of flush quoins. On either side of the door are blocked openings, and beyond these are 20-pane sash windows with flat arched lintels that have incised voussoirs. Above, there are three similar windows, with blocked openings flanking the central sash. The rear wing features 19th-century gabled dormers and 20th-century windows.
