Description

This barn, located to the south of Turners Charity Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone, featuring brick and stone dressings, with occasional quoins, and is topped with a plain tile roof from the mid-19th century. The west gable wall retains original small stone breathers. The north and south elevations have been modified to include 19th-century segment-headed doorcases and windows. There is also a roof dormer on the south side. This building is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
