Description
Oakstone Cottage is a house built in the mid-18th century, with restoration work completed around 1980. The cottage is constructed from coursed stone and features stone dressings, topped with a plain tile roof that has stone coped gables on moulded kneelers and stone gable stocks. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a plank door set in a plain surround with a large lintel, flanked by three-light flush mullion windows. On the upper floor, there are two similar windows and a central two-light window. The rear elevation also features two-light flush mullion windows. There is a single-storey 20th-century addition on the south gable wall, which is of no special interest.
