Description
Ivy Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, likely incorporating some earlier elements. It was altered in the 19th century and restored in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick, featuring a coursed squared stone plinth and quoins at the rear. It has a renewed pantile roof with coped gables and two gable stacks, along with a string course and cogged brick eaves. The cottage is a single storey plus attic and consists of four bays. The glazing and joinery were updated in the late 20th century. The entrance is off-centre, with a door that has a double pointed-arched overlight. To the right of the door are two casement windows with three lights, each topped with triple pointed arched heads, and to the left is a similar window. At the rear, there is a through-eaves dormer and a single-storey addition from the 19th century.
