Description

The village pump and shelter is an early 19th-century structure that has undergone alterations in the later 19th century and restoration in the 20th century. It features a wooden shelter with a slate roof and a square plan. The design includes four square posts with brackets that support a concave pyramidal roof covered with shaped slates, topped with a similarly shaped lead-covered finial. The posts are set on stone pads. At the center of the shelter is a cast-iron pump with a somewhat unusual design, accompanied by a wooden case and a stone trough.
