Description
Asherfields is a farmhouse dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed coal measures sandstone on a shallow plinth, featuring brick end stacks and a hipped slated roof with projecting eaves. The building has two storeys and three bays, with glazing bar sashes set in plain surrounds; the first-floor windows are lower than those on the ground floor. The central doorway has a six-panelled door and a rectangular overlight, all within a gabled trellis work porch that includes decorative bargeboards.
