Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings and features slate roofs with stone coped gables and moulded kneelers, along with stone gable end stacks. The building is two and a half storeys tall and has a T-plan layout with flush angle quoins.
The south elevation has three bays and is double fronted. It includes a central doorway with a moulded stone surround that has bolection moulding and a cornice, leading to a 20th-century glazed door. On either side of the doorway are margin light sash windows with flush stone surrounds. Above, there are three similar windows, and three smaller versions of these windows above again. The east gable features a blocked single light and a 2-light recessed chamfer mullion window. At the rear, there is a lower wing that retains the remains of a 2-light square section flush mullion cross window spanning two floors. Inside, there is a notable late 17th-century staircase with fretted balusters.
