Description
A barn dating from the early 19th century is located on the Chester Road in the parish of Sutton cum Duckmanton. The barn is constructed of coursed sandstone with sandstone and brick dressings, and has a pitched slate roof. The east elevation features a full-height carriage arch, an upper window, a doorway at half-height, a square opening above the doorway, and four 20th-century windows. Two tiers of arrow slit breathers are also present. The west elevation is similarly styled, with later 19th-century and 20th-century additions to the north-west and south-west corners. The barn is included on the heritage list solely for its group value.
