Description

This obelisk, dating from the late 18th century, is made of stone and stands approximately 6 feet high. It has a square, tapering shape that comes to a sharp point at the top and is set on a stepped square stone base. Originally located in Fountain Square, it was moved in 1829 to make way for a conduit head. The obelisk is positioned 15 meters north of the chancel of All Saints Church in Youlgreave.
