Description
Lathkill House is a house built around 1840, constructed from coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings. It features a slate roof with a stone ridge and a stone gable end stack on the east side. The house has two storeys and three bays. The central doorcase has a reeded surround and brackets that support a stone hood decorated with egg and dart moulding. Below this is a panelled door. On either side of the door are glazing bar sash windows set under wedged lintels, with three similar windows above. Inside, there is an original balustered staircase. The front of the house is bordered by stone garden walls that are attached to iron railings topped with fleur de lys finials, with a gate in the centre that matches the style of the railings.
