SK 17 SE PARISH OF ASHFORD IN THE WATER ASHFORD LANE 3/2 (West Side) Longroods Farmhouse and 12.7.1967 attached outbuildings and garden walls II

Farmhouse and outbuildings under continuous roof. Early C19 with 1861 addition. Coursed limestone rubble, gritstone dressings. Quoins to west. Stone slate roof. Stone coped gables with plain kneelers. Two stone gable end stacks and central stone ridge stack. Two storeys, three bay house. Central flush doorcase with bracketed stone, moulded hood. To east, two glazing bar sashes in flush surrounds. To west, two adjoining glazing bar sashes, forming 2-light flush mullion window. Above, three glazing bar sashes in flush surrounds. To east, adjoining outbuilding with fixed small pane window to west, low eaved lean to to east. Attached to front of house, limestone rubble garden wall with rounded gritstone copings. C19 railings attached to south. To rear of house, porch with datestone inscribed 'WL 1861'.
