The Stocks is a house dated 1578, constructed from rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. It features a stone slate roof and stone coped gables, complete with plain kneelers and ball finials. The building has stone ridge and gable end stacks and stands two storeys tall. The south elevation consists of three bays. On the left, there is a gabled bay with a 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window, and a similar window is asymmetrically placed above it. The date 1578 is displayed at the apex of the gable. To the right, there is a doorway with a stone lintel and a 20th-century plank door, followed by a 4-light recessed and chamfered mullion window. Above this, there is another 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window.
