Description

The Upper Stables at the Hall is a stable block dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins, topped with a cement tile roof. The building has two storeys. The south elevation features a central doorway with a stone lintel and quoins. To the right of the doorway is a cart entrance with an almost round-arched head, and to the left is a 2-light window with a chamfered mullion. Above this, there is a similar 2-light window, and there is also a blocked 2-light window located above the cart entrance.
