Description

The gates and gate piers to the Manor House date from the late 18th century and the mid 19th century. They are made of gritstone and are square in shape with a rusticated finish. The gate piers feature a fluted frieze and moulded caps topped with ball finials. The high Victorian wooden gates have three small lower panels, with chamfered surrounds that include run-out stops. The larger upper panels are open and adorned with robust wrought iron work. Long metal hinges complete the design. These structures are listed for their group value.
