Description
Sycamore House is a house built in 1844, constructed from coursed squared limestone with gritstone dressings. It features stone slate roofs with stone coped gables and moulded kneelers. The house has stone ridge stacks and gable end stacks, each adorned with two projecting string bands. It is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys.
The west elevation includes a projecting gabled wing on the left, which has a 3-light recessed chamfered mullion window on the ground floor and a 2-light window above. The right side features a central doorway with a segmental arched bracketed hood, leading to a four-panelled raised and fielded door with a glazed top part. Above the doorway, there is a datestone dated 1844, positioned just below the eaves. To the right of the doorway, there is a 2-light recessed chamfered mullion window, with a similar window above it. To the left, there is a 3-light window with a matching 2-light window above. All windows are fitted with metal and leaded casements.
