Description

Rose Cottage is a mid-19th century cottage located on Chapel Lane in Tissington. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and features a roof that combines bands of fishscale and plain tiles. The cottage has brick gable end stacks and stands two storeys high, with a single storey extension at the north end.

The west elevation includes a central doorway that has a plain stone lintel and a plank door with a rectangular light above it. On either side of the doorway are two-light chamfer mullion windows, with two similar windows located above on the upper storey. The windows have casement lights. This building is listed for its group value context.
