Description
Dilcroft is a house built in the early 19th century, with later additions. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone and features gritstone dressings. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a brick ridge stack along with brick gable end stacks. The house is two storeys high and has a south elevation with five bays. The left half of the house has a double front. The central doorway is flanked by three-light chamfered mullion windows with leaded casements on each side. Above, there are three similar two-light windows. To the left, there is a single-storey lean-to. The right side of the house has two and three-light casements on the ground floor, with a gabled dormer above that contains a two-light casement window. The garden is enclosed from the road by a drystone wall with curved copings. The building is listed for its group value only.
