Description
Home Farmhouse and attached outbuildings date from the late 18th century. They are constructed of coursed squared limestone with sandstone dressings and feature stone slate roofs. The farmhouse has ashlar ridge and gable stacks and is built in an irregular L-plan over two storeys.
The south elevation shows the house on the left, which has two plus one bays. The two-bay section includes an off-centre doorway with an ashlar surround and a 20th-century half-glazed door, flanked by two 2-light square section flush mullion windows. Above, there are two similar windows. To the right, there is a projecting single-storey bay with one similar window. Further to the right, a broad segmental arched window contains a 20th-century casement, and there is a segmental arched cart entrance with a pair of plank doors, featuring stone voussoirs. The building has a coped parapet.
The two-storey range that returns to the southeast has three doorways with lintels and quoins, along with four windows under stone lintels. Above, there are two square openings, one of which has a shutter.
