Description

The stable block at Hassop Hall is an early 19th-century building constructed from coursed squared limestone with sandstone dressings. It features a stone slate roof, coped gables with plain kneelers, and an ashlar ridge stack. The structure is two storeys high, with the south elevation displaying a layout of three-five-three bays, where the outer three bays are slightly advanced.

The central entrance consists of a tripartite segmental arched doorway, flanked by two flat arched doorways. To the right of the entrance, there are two glazing bar sash windows and another flat arched doorway. To the left, there is one sash window and a 20th-century garage entrance that has replaced a window and doorway. Above, there are five glazing bar sash windows, with a pediment over the central window that encloses a circular clock face. A cupola with a bell and weathervane sits atop the building.

The right-hand pavilion features a segmental arched doorway flanked by glazing bar sashes, with three windows above, the outer ones being sashes. The left-hand pavilion has a segmental arched cart entrance flanked by 20th-century garage entrances, with three glazing bar sashes above. To the left, there is a wall with a cart entrance flanked by pointed arched pedestrian gateways, both topped with castellated parapets.
