Description

Upper Farmhouse and attached outbuildings date from the mid to late 18th century. They are built from coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, featuring central ridge brick stacks, plain tiles, stone slates, and corrugated sheeting. The farmhouse is two storeys high with three bays, which include single and three-light windows that have flush mullions and surrounds, all fitted with 20th-century casements. There is a doorway at the west end with a quoined surround and a 20th-century half-glazed door.

The attached outbuilding on the west end is two storeys and has four bays, slightly projecting beyond the farmhouse. It features two doorways and two windows on the ground floor, with one doorway now blocked to create a third window. There are also three square taking-in doorways on the first floor, all with stone frames. An additional outbuilding at the east end is a single bay with a plain opening to the first floor.
