Description
Lyme Tree Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed from coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings. It features quoins at the west end, a rebuilt ridge stack at the west end, and a stone slated roof. The building is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-bay elevation. Originally, it had 2-light flush mullioned windows throughout, but the west end now has 19th-century sash windows, with the ground floor window featuring glazing bars. The other windows are 20th-century casements. The central doorway has a massive stone surround and lintel, topped with a shallow flat hood supported by moulded stone brackets. At the east end, there is a former barn that has been converted into a dwelling, which is not considered to be listable.
