Description

Old Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1600 or earlier. It is constructed of roughcast rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, featuring quoins, coped gables, moulded kneelers, a single intermediate stone ridge stack, and a stone slated roof. The building has an irregular L-plan.

The south elevation has two storeys and five bays, with a gabled crosswing at the west end. The main range includes stacked five-light recessed chamfer mullioned windows with 20th-century casements, and those on the ground floor have hoodmoulds and stops. There is an off-centre doorway with a chamfered quoined surround, leading to a plain planked door with a rectangular light. The east gable also features stacked five-light recessed chamfer mullioned windows beneath hoodmoulds with stops.
