Description

The gate piers and boundary walling to St Margaret's Churchyard were built in the mid-19th century. They are made of ashlar gritstone for the piers and rubble limestone for the walls, which enclose the churchyard. The piers are square in shape and feature plain cone or bud finials atop tapered stems that rest on projecting moulded caps. These piers flank the main entrance to the churchyard as well as the entrance from the grounds of Wormhill Hall.
