Description
Knotlow Farmhouse and its attached outbuilding date from the late 18th century, although they include parts of a 17th-century house. The buildings are constructed from coursed rubble limestone, featuring a rendered and lined-out front. The northwest gable is coped and has moulded kneelers, while there are ashlar ridge stacks at the intermediate and southeast ends. The roofs are covered with stone slates.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays, with single glazing bar sashes and one additional glazing bar sash set in plain stone surrounds. There is an off-centre doorway within a plain stone surround, along with a later doorway at the southeast end, both of which have half-glazed 20th-century doors. The attached outbuilding is a single storey with an overloft and consists of a single bay with two plain doorways.
