Description

This is a barn located to the south-southeast of Knotlow Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, featuring quoins and plain gables, topped with a stone slated roof. The barn has two storeys and consists of ten bays. The central bay contains a full-height cart entrance with a quoined surround and a segmental arch. There are also three doorways with quoined surrounds; one is a taller opening to the left of the central doorway, while the other two are plain rectangular openings.
