Description
These are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century, situated in the parish of Middleton and Smerrill, near Youlgrave. They are constructed of roughcast rubble limestone, with a blue brick central ridge stack and a roof covered in stone slates. The cottages are two storeys high, with two bays each. They feature chamfer mullioned two-light windows with hood moulds and stops, fitted with four-paned casement frames. The end doorways have stone surrounds, hood moulds, and stops, leading to plain planked doors. A 20th-century extension is located at the west end.
