BIDDLESTONE BIDDLESTONE NT 90 NE 15/24 Former kennels and yard walls c.300 yards north of Biddlestone Home Farm

Former kennels to Biddlestone Hall, now farm storage. Probably 1844 (date on nearby cottage). Ashlar with Welsh slate roof. Single storey. 9 bays with lower 3-bay shelter sheds attached at each end.
Slightly-projecting cross-gabled 3-bay centre has boarded 2-leaf door with 6-pane overlight and flanking narrow sashes. Roundel with moulded frame above door.
Outer sections each have central boarded door with flanking windows, now mainly boarded up, but formerly 12-pane sliding sashes, one of which remains.
Cross gable has flat coping, kneelers and octagonal finial.
Hipped roof with 2 octagonal corniced ridge stacks.
Shelter sheds have stop-chamfered square piers. Roofs hipped towards outside with octagonal finials.
Attached exercise yard walls in ashlar with chamfered coping. Ramped down at ends of kennels to form 2 yards with walls c. 4 ft. high, separated by path to central doorway.
