Description
Elilaw Farmhouse is a farmhouse built between 1840 and 1850, constructed from ashlar stone with a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features a three by two bay layout, with a slightly later service wing to the rear. It has raised quoins and is approached by 14 steps, which are flanked by low side walls that end in small square piers topped with pyramidal caps. The entrance consists of a six-panelled door with an overlight, set within a chamfered raised alternating-block surround. The windows are 16-pane sashes, also in raised alternating-block surrounds.
The farmhouse has a hollow-chamfered cornice and a hipped roof that includes two oblong ridge stacks. A notable feature is the round-headed stair window, which has intersecting glazing bars. Inside, the property contains a staircase with stick balusters, along with six-panelled doors and shutters.
