Description
Trewhitt Hall is a house built in 1805 for John Smart, with additional work by John Dobson in 1830. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and features a plinth, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and has a symmetrical layout of five bays by five bays in a classical style.
The entrance is marked by a central half-glazed door set within a Tuscan porch that has a fluted frieze. The windows are 12-pane sashes with plain reveals and projecting sills. The hipped roof is adorned with corniced ridge stacks.
On the right side of the building, there is a round-headed stair window that features intersecting glazing bars. Inside, the hall contains early 19th-century marble fireplaces, a staircase with fluted stick balusters, and six-panel doors with shutters.
