Description
This building is a garage located approximately 70 yards south-west of Westnewton House. Originally a stable and carriage house, it is now used for storage. The structure is made of random rubble and features pantiled and Welsh slate roofs.
The building has an L-shaped plan and consists of two storeys with five bays on one side and one bay on the other. The former stable section on the left now has a 20th-century door on the ground floor and five half-slatted windows for the granary on the first floor. It has a steeply-pitched pantiled roof, and there are external stone stairs leading to the granary on the left side.
On the right side, the carriage house includes a groom's room above. It features boarded double doors in a segmental arch on the right and a boarded door on the left. On the first floor, there is one 12-pane sash window set in a raised surround. The roof is gabled with Welsh slate, broad flat coping, and a stone ridge stack.
