Description
The byre range to the rear of Shepherds Close is a structure dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is built from coursed squared herringbone-tooled stone and features a pantiled roof with stone coping and ridges. The building is single-storey and consists of four bays, with the two left-hand bays being lower than the others. Each bay has a board stable door with a rebated stone lintel, and there is a small opening with a board shutter to the right of the door in bay four. The eaves band and block kneelers are also notable features. At the rear, the right-hand section includes a board hatch on the right side.
