Description
The byre range, located approximately 25 metres northeast of Shepherd's House Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century and consists of two sections, with the right-hand side being the earlier part that features a plinth. It is constructed from dressed sandstone and has a clay pantile roof, which includes a stone ridge, gable copings, and terracotta vent pipes added to the ridge. The building is single storey with six bays, containing three boarded doors and three smaller openings—one hit-and-miss and two with mid-20th century glazing. The roof structure consists of queen strut roof trusses without collars. There is a brick lean-to extension on the right side, which is not of interest. This building is included for its group value.
