Description
The byre located to the north-west of Hill House dates back to 1793, as indicated on the door lintel. It features coursed, squared herringbone-tooled sandstone with ashlar dressings and has a purple slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of five bays. There are two rebated doors with lintels designed to resemble voussoirs, with the left door being dated. Additionally, there are three pitching doors, with the central one having a vent slit below it. The structure also includes stone roof copings and square kneelers, with pitching doors located in the return gable ends.
