Description
The byre at Church Farmhouse is a building from the 18th century that has undergone some later alterations. It is constructed of roughly coursed and squared stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The structure is two storeys high and consists of two ranges that meet at right angles.
The west range has five bays, each with plank doors set in arched doorways that have ovolo moulding on the jambs and stone lintels. There are also chamfered arched windows next to these doors. The upper section includes five taking-in openings, two of which are now blocked, with stone lintels and paired vents positioned between them.
The north range comprises three bays, featuring paired windows on the left side, three doors on the right side (one of which has been converted into a window), and a door and window in the centre. The upper section has three windows with paired vents between them. All openings in this range have rough 4-centred arched lintels with chamfering.
