Description

FYLINGDALES NEW ROAD NZ 9505 (west side) Robin Hood's Bay 17/156 Muir Lea and Leaf's Shop 6.10.69. (formerly listed as Muir Lea and The Robin Hood Bay Supply Stores) GV II House and shop, of early C19 appearance. Herringbone-tooled coursed sandstone; pantiled roof with stone copings, kneelers and stacks. 4 storeys, 2 bays, irregular. Shop front of early C19 type with central door and flanking windows. Mid C19 sashes with vertical bars on first and second floors; top floor smaller sashes, all with slightly-projecting stone cills. Cornice-bonded end chimneys. Top-glazed 6-panel house door on left return, under archway to THE BOLTS, in small wood porch. Small attic sash above passage wall. Included for group value.
