Description

BEAULIEU BUCKLERS' HARD SU 4000 No 83 (Formerly listed as part of 18/8 Thatched Cottages to NE of Master 8.10.59 Builders House) GV II House now part of hotel (qv). Mid C18, altered C19 and C20. 2 storey and attic, 3 bay, hip-roofed projections to part of rear, outshot to rest. Front has central 6-panel top-lit door, and blocked doorway beside. Either side 3-light casement under cambered arch. 1st floor raised band broken in centre, stepped up to continue on next building to LH, and down to continue on hotel to RH. 3-light casements on 1st floor. Over 2-light hip-roofed dormers. Most windows have leaded lights. Ridge stacks at either end shared with other buildings. Inside ground floor now single room, though fireplaces remain.
