Description

Nos. 76 and 77 are a pair of cottages located in Buckler's Hard, dating from the late 18th century and altered in the 19th century. They are constructed of brick and feature an old plain tile roof. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic, each consisting of one wide bay, with a wing at the rear of one cottage. The front façade has a door near each end; one is a plank door and the other is a six-panel door with a top light. Next to each door are two-light segmental head casements, with an additional two-light casement window above. The right-hand cottage has windows with leaded lights set in wrought-iron frames. The roof includes two-light leaded casements in hip-roofed dormers, and there is a central ridge stack. The roof of the cottages abuts a higher roof on the left and a lower roof on the right.
