Description
Nos. 86 and 86A is a cottage with a small infill cottage, currently used as a community centre. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and was altered in the 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and has an old plain tile roof. It is a single storey with an attic, featuring two bays with an additional one-bay cottage added. There is evidence of an infilled passage leading to the rear gardens, and an outshot extends to the rear.
The front of the building has the larger cottage on the left-hand side, which includes a plank door in a solid frame and a two-light casement window in the left bay. The right bay has a two-light casement and a three-light hip-roofed dormer. The right bay also features a higher set plank door and a two-light casement above which is a two-light gabled dormer. Ridge stacks are located at either end of the larger cottage. The building is adjacent to taller structures at both ends.
