Description

The lime-kiln, located to the south-east of Croft House and opposite the entrance to Crag Lane, is a disused structure likely built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from snecked drystone rubble with quoins and features battered sides, standing approximately 25 feet high. On the north side, there is a central segment-headed hearth that is about 8 feet wide. A ramp, which may have been extended at a later date, leads to the top around the west, south, and east sides.
