Description

This is a lime kiln located immediately south-south-east of Kiln Cottage, dating from the late 18th century. It features stone rubble walls and has a square plan with a small chamber accessed through a front opening that leads to a hearth at the rear. The front of the kiln has a stone arch with a stringcourse above it, and there is a low rebuilt parapet. The kiln is built into the hillside at the rear.
