Description

This is a lime kiln dating from the early 19th century, located at SX 421654 in Bere Ferrers. The kiln features rubble walls with a slate drip course beneath the parapet. It has a single kiln that is square in plan and built into the bank at the rear. The front has a round-arched opening with a projecting keystone. Inside, there is a vaulted roof and a partially filled-in hearth at the rear.
