Lime kiln. Probably early C19. In use within the last 40 years. Local grey limestone rubble. EXTERIOR: Battered walls. Segmental-headed opening to kiln on front. INTERIOR: Partly filled with debris, which has raised the level of the ground. Evidence of blocked opening on rear wall of kiln. Set on the fringe of a former limestone quarry.
